Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya has extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the country and the state on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.  Shri Maurya said that this festival symbolizes the northward movement of the sun, which signifies light, energy, and new beginnings in life. He wished that this auspicious festival would bring happiness, prosperity, good health, and well-being to everyone's lives and that the state would continue to progress on the path of development.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya said that the Magh Mela is a unique confluence of Indian Sanatan culture, faith, and spiritual consciousness. This festival conveys the message of self-purification, self-control, and social harmony to the devotees. The holy land of Prayagraj has been a center of religion, culture, and spirituality for centuries.
