Keshav Prasad Maurya today organized a "Janata Darshan" at his official residence, 7-Kalidas Marg, in Lucknow. During the event, hundreds of complainants from various districts of the state presented their problems to the Deputy Chief Minister. Mr. Maurya listened to each person's complaints one by one and issued strict instructions to the concerned officials for their resolution.

The Janta Darshan was attended primarily by the poor, the destitute, and those suffering from serious illnesses. The Deputy Chief Minister, hearing the plight of the victims, appeared emotional and, from the spot, called the District Magistrates (DMs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) of the respective districts. He stated categorically: "No laxity will be tolerated in addressing public problems. Especially in matters of treating the sick and assisting the poor, officials should exercise sensitivity and ensure immediate assistance."

Mr. Maurya directed that the process of providing financial assistance (discretionary fund) for the treatment of seriously ill individuals be expedited on a priority basis. He called for transparent investigation and prompt action on land disputes and police complaints. Taking prompt action on women's complaints, he instructed the police administration that no laxity would be tolerated in crimes and complaints related to women. The Deputy Chief Minister warned that if any complaint of negligence or corruption was found in providing benefits of government schemes to eligible individuals, strict punitive action would be taken against the concerned officer.
