Keshav Prasad Maurya inaugurated 'Mahila Shakti Kendras' in 100 districts, including the signing of an MOU with an NGO (C-3) and the release of a book.
At the Hyatt Hotel in Gomti Nagar, under the aegis of the State Rural Livelihood Mission, Keshav Prasad Maurya inaugurated the 'Mahila Shakti' (Women's Power) logo and launched 'Mahila Shakti Kendras' (Women's Empowerment Centers) across 100 districts. He also released a book titled *Gender Equality and Empowerment through Mahila Shakti Kendras* (published by TRI), signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various NGOs, and participated in a state-level workshop.
Under the 'One District, One Product' (ODOP) scheme, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Department of Industries and the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission. As per this agreement, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across the state will be enabled to avail the benefits of the ODOP scheme; furthermore, measures are being undertaken to facilitate their participation in fairs and exhibitions at the state, national, and international levels.
*Jhalkari Bai Mahila Producer Company:* A Commodity Value Chain Project has been sanctioned for 4 development blocks in Jhansi district and 3 development blocks in Mahoba district. The project aims to enroll 17,406 women farmers over a period of three years, with a budgetary allocation of ₹16.36 crore—of which ₹16.88 crore has already been released to the company. The company engages in the procurement, processing, and sale of wheat, mentha, and paddy. To date, 12,139 women members have become shareholders in the company, and through 72 collection centers, 14,816 quintals of groundnuts, along with 152.22 quintals of gram and white peas, have been procured.
