On the instructions of the Deputy Chief Minister, CEO Ankur Kaushik cancelled the contracts of contractors in Ghazipur, Varanasi, and Prayagraj and imposed a two-year ban on them

In compliance with the clear instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, strict administrative action has been taken in cases of negligence, violation of contract terms, and failure to adhere to quality standards under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).


The contracts for Package Numbers UP-29135, UP-29137, UP-29138, UP-29139, and UP-29140 in Ghazipur district were canceled by the Superintending Engineer, Rural Engineering Department Circle, Prayagraj, Varanasi, through office letter number 1236/RED/PMGSY/Contract/2025-26 dated December 26, 2025.
The contracts for Package Numbers UP-03217, UP-03218, and UP-03166 in Prayagraj district were canceled by the Superintending Engineer, Rural Engineering Department Circle, Prayagraj, through office letter number 749/RED/Contract/PMGSY/2025-26 dated November 7, 2025.  Additionally, M/s Singla Gupta & Sons has been debarred for two years by the Chief Engineer (Eastern Region), Rural Engineering Department, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, through office letter number 1507 dated October 25, 2023, for not performing the work as per the contract terms.


Shri Ankur Kaushik, Chief Executive Officer, Uttar Pradesh Rural Roads Development Agency, clarified that transparency, accountability, and quality standards will be strictly ensured in development works related to public interest, and swift and decisive action will continue to be taken against such negligence in the future.
