The Union Budget will lay a strong foundation for a developed India, along with empowering the poor, youth, women, and farmers, says Keshav Prasad Maurya
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a press conference with journalists at the Hotel Ramada to discuss the Union Budget 2026-27. He stated that the Union Budget focuses on empowering the poor, youth, women, and farmers, while also laying a strong and sustainable foundation for a developed India by 2047.
He further added that Prime Minister Modi's vision of providing paved roads to every rural household through the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is being fulfilled, and Uttar Pradesh has been a top-performing state in this regard for the past four years.
Mr. Maurya said that the rural areas will be strengthened by promoting food processing and value addition, which will boost the local economy. He also mentioned the expansion of initiatives like SHE-Marts and Lakhpati Didi, aimed at empowering women, with the goal of connecting over 1 crore women to entrepreneurship.
