Somnath Swabhiman Yatra Train Flagged Off; Keshav Maurya Inspects UP Government's Exhibition
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya today attended the grand inaugural ceremony of the 'Somnath Swabhiman Yatra Uttar Pradesh,' held as part of the 'Somnath Swabhiman Parv' at the Gomti Nagar Railway Station in Lucknow. During the event, Hon'ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the train carrying pilgrims bound for Somnath. Also present on this occasion were the State Chief Minister, Hon'ble Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad, Lucknow Mayor Smt. Sushma Kharkwal, Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal, MLC Pawan Singh Chauhan, MLC Mukesh Sharma, MLA O.P. Srivastava, and MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that, under the able guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the entire nation today is embracing the core mantra of 'Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi' (Heritage as well as Development).
He remarked that India is not only preserving its glorious cultural heritage but is also setting new benchmarks of progress by integrating it with modern development. The Somnath Temple stands as a symbol of our faith and national pride, and this pilgrimage will ignite the flame of that very pride within the hearts of every citizen.
