Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya has strongly condemned Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge for labeling the illustrious Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, a "terrorist." He asserted that these words were not directed merely at Shri Modi, but rather at the 145 crore citizens of the nation who, through their votes, have elected him as the country's Prime Minister for a third term.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the Congress party should first examine the dark chapters of its own history—pages that record instances of leniency towards Pakistan, appeasement politics, and questionable political sympathies. He argued that this statement constitutes not only a violation of political decorum but also an insult to the nation's citizens, its armed forces, and the very spirit of national pride.
Shri Maurya remarked that it is a universally acknowledged fact that Pakistan serves as a nursery for terrorism; furthermore, this nation—steeped in a terrorist mindset—has always harbored the desire to see a weak government in India that would refrain from delivering decisive blows against its nefarious designs. Regrettably, the statements and conduct of numerous Congress leaders have repeatedly lent credence to this apprehension. The nation has neither forgotten nor forgiven those instances where Congress leaders traveled to Pakistan in search of support for their opposition to Shri Modi.
He noted that during the Congress regime, terrorist attacks occurred frequently, yet the policy adopted towards Pakistan often remained soft and lackluster. Whether it was the Mumbai attacks or other terrorist incidents, the nation observed that the Congress party's response was characterized more by diplomatic hesitation than by firm retaliation. A truly decisive blow was dealt to Pakistan and its terrorist infrastructure only after 2014, when—under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi—India demonstrated both the policy and the capability to strike at terror by "entering the enemy's own territory."
