Uttar Pradesh Budget Developed India 2047: Resolve for a Self-reliant, Strong and Prosperous India, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya has described the budget of Rs. 19 lakh 12 thousand 6 hundred 96 crore for the year 2026-27 as a historic and public welfare budget towards the all-round development of the state, welfare of the poor and creation of a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.
Shri Maurya said that the Rural Development Department will develop the remote areas of the state for which Rs. 25 thousand 500 crore has been proposed. The Prime Minister's Rural Road Scheme will be strengthened with Rs. 8 hundred 22 crore through the Prime Minister's Rural Road Scheme and other road schemes of the state. The provision of Rs. 5 thousand 5 hundred 44 crore for the Ji-Ram-Ji Scheme has awakened the confidence of 125 days of guaranteed employment among the people. A budget provision of ₹5,580 crore for the National Rural Livelihood Mission will economically empower women in self-help groups. ₹6,102 crore has been allocated for the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana for poor and destitute villagers.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the budget prioritizes the interests of small and marginal farmers, including increasing farmers' income, expanding irrigation facilities, crop protection, and encouraging agriculture-based industries, which will inject new energy into the agricultural sector. Employment opportunities for youth will be created through skill development, startups, and the MSME sector.
In the area of women's empowerment, the budget includes several schemes to ensure women's safety, self-reliance, and economic participation. The government is committed to empowering self-help groups and strengthening them economically.
He said that this budget is going to realise the resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for “Developed India” and the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji.
