Lucknow/Kanpur, January 6, 2026: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya was on a visit to Kanpur today, where he addressed a press conference at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, regarding the Developed India – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) Act, 2025.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya stated that this law, introduced under the visionary leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, is a historic initiative towards the socio-economic empowerment of rural India.  Through this law, a balance has been established between the agricultural sector and the rural workforce, strengthening employment generation and productivity.

He further explained that the Developed India – Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) Act, 2025 will provide new opportunities for sustainable livelihoods to rural youth, farmers, laborers, and self-help groups. This will not only strengthen the rural economy but also effectively address the problem of migration.
