Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya will chair a review meeting of the Rural Development Department, particularly the State Rural Livelihoods Mission, on January 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Yojana Bhawan, Lucknow. The meeting aims to accelerate the all-round development of rural areas of the state and the implementation of welfare schemes. The primary objective of this meeting is to review the progress of schemes on the ground and address any obstacles.

Participation of 75 Districts: Chief Development Officers (CDOs) from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh will be physically present at the meeting.
Presence of Key Departments: Senior officials from the Rural Development Department, along with officers from the State Rural Livelihoods Mission (SRLM), will also participate.
Village Meetings and Dialogue: Discussions are expected on resolving public grievances through 'Gram Chaupal' (village meetings) and topics such as employment guarantee (125 days) under the new 'G-RAM-G' (VB G-RAM G) Act.

Self-Help Groups (SHGs): Reviewing the progress of empowering rural women and achieving the targets of the 'Lakhpati Didi' scheme.
Employment and Infrastructure: Ensuring the quality and timely completion of works under G-RAM-G.
Housing Scheme: Ensuring that eligible beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) receive benefits on time.
Transparency: Strict instructions may be issued regarding a zero-tolerance policy towards any laxity or corruption in development works.
