Cricket Royalty Reigns: Tendulkar, Lara, Richards Crowned Top 3 Batsmen in Fan Poll; Pollard & Bravo Recognized as Elite All-Rounders

Post

Reflecting the feelings of the fans, cricketing legends Tendulkar, Brian Lara, and Sir Viv Richards have been praised as the top three batsmen in the world. This arises from a poll shared in an Instagram post from Ian Bishop, a former West Indies fast bowler. In this case, the legends of the voted batsmen have not lost their luster. In the same breath, West Indian batsmen Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo have been praised as exceptional all-rounders in the T20 format.

As expected, the poll results from the cricket loving public named Indian icon Sachin Tendulkar, West Indies charismatic left hand batsman Brian Lara and fearsome Antiguan batsman Sir Viv Richards as the three greatest batsmen of all time. The reasoning for these players’ selection stemmed from their proven ability to change the game, compete all around, their unique styles, and excellence across decades. Tendulkar boasts incredible records and longevity, Lara is known for his aggressive strokeplay and record breaking innings, and Richards for his fearsome presence and domination.

In addition to their accolades as accomplished batsmen, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo have been noted for their differing yet no less valuable all-rounder capabilities. They equally share popularity in the shortened formats of the game as they have the ability to shift the tide of the match. Pollard and Bravo are renowned for their game-changing hitting and bowling, superb athleticism in the field, and their ability to serve as captains in various franchise leagues around the globe. Pollard is best known for his big hitting and game-changing overs while Bravo has an even greater reputation as a T20 specialist, known for his unorthodox bowling and his ability to change the game in the last overs of the innings, both as a bowler and batsman. Their accomplishments highlight their positions today as the best all-rounders in the game of T20.
