Public Grievances Heard During 'Janata Darshan'; Strict Directives Issued to Officials via Telephone for Prompt Resolution — Keshav Prasad Maurya
During the 'Janata Darshan' (Public Audience) program held at the official residence—7 Kalidas Marg—Keshav Prasad Maurya listened with great sensitivity to the grievances of hundreds of people who had arrived from various districts across the state. A large number of women, elderly citizens, youth, farmers, and persons with disabilities attended the program to present their complaints.
The Deputy Chief Minister met with each petitioner individually and issued on-the-spot directives to the concerned officials for the resolution of their issues. These matters primarily included:
• **Development Works:** Drainage systems, paved pathways, and drinking water supply.
• **Administrative Matters:** Revenue-related disputes and complaints pertaining to police administration.
• **Housing Schemes:** Obstacles encountered in accessing benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the Chief Minister Awas Yojana.
• **Financial Assistance:** Financial aid for the treatment of serious illnesses and for other personal necessities.
Given the gravity of the public grievances, the Deputy Chief Minister held telephonic discussions from the venue itself with the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of various districts. He made it clear that any laxity in matters concerning the public interest would not be tolerated.
• **District Magistrates:** Fatehpur, Sitapur, Lucknow, Barabanki, Muzaffarnagar, Ambedkar Nagar, and Lakhimpur Kheri.
• **Police Administration:** Police Commissioner (Varanasi) and Senior Superintendents of Police (Azamgarh, Unnao, Rampur, Kannauj).
• **Urban Bodies and Others:** Municipal Commissioner (Prayagraj), General Manager (IFFCO), GM (NCR), and Basic Education Officer (Mirzapur).
During the Janata Darshan, Shri Ram Asre Yadav—a resident of Kushinagar and a person with disabilities—presented his housing-related grievance before the Deputy Chief Minister. Shri Maurya offered him reassurance and pledged his full support in securing a home for him under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He directed the officials to take immediate action regarding Ram Asre's case and ensure that he receives the due benefits.
